WATERBEADLE JEWELRY was started
after retirement from nursing and cruising the East Coast in our trawler. The palette and textures of my designs were inspired by the magnificent and ever changing watercolors from blue grey to aquamarine, shimmering in sunlight and clouded with kelp, and the shells, underwater creatures, sky, birds and boats we encountered. The Waterbeadle Jewelry collection includes one of a kind and custom jewelry designed predominately with pearls and semiprecious stones combined with gold vermeil and sterling silver. Designs range from classic contemporary to eclectic integrating classic jewelry making techniques with hand worked metal wire and metal smithing techniques. Each piece is made with meticulous attention to detail and the seeds planted by my father, a San Francisco jewelry designer.
The organic textures and colors of Sweetgrass woven by renowned Lowcountry weaver Annette Mazyck inspired me to create contemporary jewelry designs combined with pearls organic elements and, stones with focus on the Lowcountry colors and textures. My Sweetgrass Collection has been available at the boutique of the Charleston Symphony League Designer Showhouse https://csolinc.org/designer-showhouse
and some pieces are available on the website.
Along with creating items for sale, I create custom pieces for individual clients as well as redesign and repair outdated pieces.
